Ambassador Gui Congyou Meets with County Director of Halland Mr. Jörgen Peters

On 6 May, Ambassador Gui Congyou met with County Director of Halland Mr. Jörgen Peters, at the County Administrative Board.

Ambassador Gui first congratulated Halmstad, the location of the County Administrative Board, on successfully hosting the ITTF Team Championships for Men and Women. He said currently China-Sweden relationship is developing steadily, and bilateral cooperation in various fields is facing new opportunities and great potential. China is willing to expand exchanges and cooperation with Halland in areas such as economy and trade, science and technology, culture, education, and sports. The Halland County and its enterprises are welcome to participate in the China International Import Expo in Shanghai.

Mr. Peters warmly congratulated the China national table tennis team on winning the champions at both the men's and the women's competition in this tournament. He gave a briefing on the development of the Halland County with details and said that Halland is becoming increasingly interested in the Chinese market and will give full play to its traditional advantage in trade to promote exchanges and cooperation with relevant regions of China.

The two sides also exchanged views on specific issues of regional cooperation.

Mr. Qu Bohua, Deputy Consul-General of the Chinese Consulate General in Gothenburg, and Mr. Pu Zhengdong, Cultural Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Sweden, attended the meeting.
